uPVC Sash Windows Are The Real Deal

I dropped in to my pal Kevin’s house last week to say hello and I saw that he had replaced his sash windows.  I had always liked his windows as they really suited his home, but I was impressed that his new windows looked very impressive also.  Kevin was delighted with my praise and told me that his new windows were actually uPVC sash windows.

I was surprised at this, because I had heard that window manufacturers were not able to produce uPVC sash windows that looked well. ‘They used to not be able to’, replied Kevin. ‘But in the past few years the technology has improved a lot and now, as you can see, you can get uPVC windows that are hard to distinguish from timber sash windows’.

‘The great advantage of uPVC windows is the fact that I will never have to paint them’, he added, ‘whereas I was having to repaint my old windows every five years or so’.  He went on to tell me that the uPVC sash windows were double glazed, so as well as improving the insulation in his house, there was less noise from outside getting in and also each window has a multi-point locking system which give him much better security.  ‘They are even much easier to clean, because the frames tilt inwards as well as being able to slide up and down’, he laughed.

I asked him where he had purchased these windows.  He told me that he had done a lot of online research in order to find the best windows at a very keen price.  He said that there is a great choice of uPVC sash window manufacturers online and they all want to do business with you.

When I left him I went home and looked at my own sash windows and I decided that I would do an online search for uPVC sash windows and maybe upgrade them also.
