Pool Heaters And Solar Covers

It fascinates me that with the world going green and trying to be more environmentally friendly, people do not look for the easiest options.  There are small tweaks you can make to your daily routines and habits that can reduce your carbon footprint and environmental impact.  Many of these can be done a relatively low cost but produce very big results.  The idea here, is to take a look at your daily activities and ask yourself how to improve.  One area that I believe that requires a relatively pain free and easy solution is regarding pool care.

There are many people out there, and rightfully so, who do not like to swim in a pool unless it is the right temperature.

They will then go out and spend money on a heater for their pool which as you may have assumed, is not the most environmentally friendly option.  Although, they are effective, pool heaters are not sustainable and in effect do not derive their energy from nature.

However, there is another option for the individual who wants to keep their pool warm without impacting the environment.  The other option, is one that has been around for some time but is still one of the most effective ways to keep your pool warm.  The device I am speaking of is a solar pool cover.  Solar covers ensure that the heat your pool gathers from the sun, a natural source, during the day is not lost.  This makes for warmer and more comfortable swimming conditions.

So if you do not want to be left out in the cold this year, try a solar pool cover.  Aside from the manufacturing of the cover itself the solar pool covers are environmentally friendly because you are capturing the sun's energy rather than deriving it from other non-sustainable sources.
