1. Portable Closets
A portable closet is any kind of mobile or lightweight storage closet that can easily be moved. Usually if a company is going to market it as portable then the closet will have a light weight metal frame resting on wheels for easy mobility. This storage closet is best used for clothes and for guest rooms. Some people also portable closets liberally in the laundry room for moving dirty and clean clothes around the home. These cost between $30 and $100.
2. The Junior Armoire Closet
The "Junior Armoire" is usually a smaller, more light wooden armoire, which is not necessarily made of real wood but composite wood. This makes it lighter and cheaper while still providing the function of making a nice storage space for your wardrobe. Junior armoires run about $100 to $300.
3. Full Size Closet Armoire
An armoire is any wooden storage cabinet, and in this case, we're talking about the wardrobe closet armoire that most people are familiar with. These armoires are usually really nice, costing a sizable chunk of change - but this gets you a 100 pound plus storage closet of solid wood, with drawers, shelves, and hanging closet storage space. 4. Closet Systems
The term closet systems refers to the different "closet kits" or closet systems from companies such as Rubbermaid or John Louis. These closet storage systems require a bit of technical skill (labor and time basically) to set up and install but the pay off is that it will complete transform your closet, providing shelves, storage bins, and ample hanging rods. These products vary in quality, size, and function, so the price range reflects this diversity, starting at as cheap as $30 and going up into the $1,000 range.
