Their patinas are created by a fire processing, which will change over time and become more beautiful. These sinks are handmade in Mexico by artisans who take pride in their work. First, it is beautiful and there are a variety of finishes available to give color and texture to the sink. There is a smoke shade that is the dark color that completely patina copper has. This is an attractive darker shade that can be easily cleaned with just soap and rinsed with water. The natural shade of copper will patina over time, and if you would like the natural color to remain, it will need to be cleaned with wax made especially for copper sinks. A polished finish will be easy to clean and is the most traditionally used finish and color. A matte finish can also be purchased and although popular does require the most attention to maintenance. Wax can be used on a matte finish, but ideally a sealant should be applied.
